Since I'm asked almost every week where the spoilers are, where the Cutting Edge page is, and why the Ins and Outs page is gone I thought I would give a little PVB tutorial.
The link to the PVB is, was and always will be http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com When you go to it, it will automatically forward you to the new PVB blog. If you are not forwarded immediately, click the link at the top of the page that says, "If you are not forwarded to our new blog, click here"
Now, because the site is now in blog format, there is no need for a separate Index page, Ins and Outs page, and Cutting Edge page. The information that was posted on those three pages is now on the blog in real time. I did this for several reasons. You get the information faster. I save a ton of time and post as I get information instead of keeping it all for one big posting day. And blogs are just far more in keeping up with the times than the old site was. After 10 years, the change was needed.
Once you are at the blog, you will see a lot of buttons on the left side. These take you to all the other pages of the PVB that you've come to count on, especially the Spoilers page.
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/Menu.jpg)
There are also a lot of new pages chock full of AMC history. And other pages like a list of Addresses to write to the show or the soap mags. Family Trees, Personal encounters. And so on. Each button is clearly marked and all you have to do is click on it and you will be taken to that page.
Scrolling down you'll see on the left even more links. Links to interviews with past AMC actors. And links to Myrtle's Boutique, the About Town page, Fan clubs, the Links page, and my Emmy Story:

On the right side is the blog where you find up to the minute news, birthdays, casting information, flashbacks and all kinds of fun stuff. That is updated as I receive news. The best thing to do is subscribe to the blog. It's just like bookmarking only better. Because when you click the bookmark, it will show you what stories are posted to the blog. And you can chose what you haven't read yet. It's very simple to do.
On Firefox in the URL box this (stealing April's trick lol):
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/Addressbar.jpg)
You will see a little yellow box with black lines in it, like this:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/Addressbar2.jpg)
Click on the yellow box, and it will take you to the subscription page that will look like this:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/SubscribePage.jpg)
From there, you click on the subscribe button (it is up to you whether or not to click the "Always use live bookmarks to subscribe to feeds" box). A box will pop up asking where you want to put the bookmark. If you have them organized just chose the folder in your bookmarks where you want it to go. And you're done! Now, whenever you want to go the PVB, you will click on that bookmark and you will see something like this:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/BlogBookmark.jpg)
Chose the story you want to read, and it will take you there. Easy peasy! You won't get a notification that the page is updated, but whenever you look at the bookmark you can see what stories are there.
On Netscape, I don't see the same little yellow box in the address field so you will have to scroll down the page right under all the menu boxes and click the subscribe to posts link:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/SubscribeNet.jpg)
The rest of the instructions are the same. I don't have IE, but I would assume it's similar there as well.
You don't have to put in an email address or anything. It's just like creating a bookmark.
Part II Making comments to the blog
To do that you will have to sign up with blogger. I think if you already have a gmail account, you can sign in using that. Then when you want to make a comment to a story on the blog, click the comments link under the story you want to comment on. This is what you will see on the right side of the page:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/Comment.jpg)
Just follow the instructions on the screen. Type in your comment in the comment box, then the verification, then log in, and post your comment. If you're already logged in, it looks a little different, like this:
![[image] [image]](http://www.pinevalleybulletin.com/Graphics/Comment2.jpg)
As you can see on the one above, you can chose to be notified if there are any other comment posts to that story. You will get an email to the address you registered with if another comment is made to the story.
I'm pretty sure I've covered everything. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. It probably seems like a lot to learn, but it's really not and in the end, it is much more simple for everyone.

My only comment is that when I signed up for the blog to make comments, all the instructions (and confirmation) were in German! Luckily for me my daughter spent a year in Germany as an exchange student, so was able to translate the couple things I was guessing on!
